How we served C*-time

The time has come to learn new practises, to find out how to grow, how to sustain and how to keep living the outdoor lifestyle.

You have subscribed to CyclingCindy because you are interested in cycling. Yet cycling is the least that I can offer you now, this is no story about cycling adventures you are going to read. Instead, it is what I am able to do because I stopped cycling (or, how we served Corona time). Read more…

Years of traveling brought me many different insights, philosophies and countries I needed to be (over 90 in total). I lived in Pakistan, went over 15 times to India and when I stopped cycling the world, that was after 50.000 kilometer through 45 countries, I met Geo. Together we now try to be more self-sustainable, grow our own food and live off-grid. I now juggle with the logistics of being an old-fashioned housewife, cook and creative artist loving the outdoors. The pouches I create are for sale on www.cindyneedleart.com

Thanks for your reflections about life and your pictures and sharing yourself a little. I think you are always inspiring whether you are travelling by bike, motorbike and else, or when you decide to settle down. Your little piece of the world looks very beautiful, but you are good in finding and showing beauty when others would only see litter. I am very happy for you to have found, at least for now, your place in the world and in someone’s heart as well as having found a place for somebody in your own heart. May the beauty be always with you

Hi Silvia,

I think anyone, in any sort of life could inspire, as you said. It depends on his or her personality, indeed. But when life is dreadful it becomes more difficult, unfortunately. But yeah, we are talking travelers, a whole different cookie.

You said it very poetic: ‘…in someone’s heart as well as having found a place for somebody in your own heart…’ This is really a whole different sort of journey, one which needs constant attention, watering and awareness. I could never have gone on to this journey without the luggage I acquired.

Thank you for your beautiful comment by the way. I wish you a blessed new year with health and beauty, in mind, heart and body.
Greetings Cindy

That’s so lovely to hear! I am glad it gas this effect on you. When I see the concentration of images it has a positive effect on me too. And Geo liked it too.

I hope you are in a comfortable place as well, not necessarily literally but most of all bodily, mentally and well in general.

May you be blessed in the new year.
You live in an exceptional beautiful place on earth.

Love, Cindy

I agree Miro, slow is the way. But… when it comes to growing, it is pretty much patience that I need, especially since we are in winter! I have everything ready to start sowing.

My sourdough seems to take weeks to be activated and the stock of dandelion root is dwindling. I have to eat rosehip jam more than I wish otherwise it start to mold. The nut butter I made started to resemble a smell like something inedible metallic. And I know nothing about preparing old-fashioned veggies.

Only now I start to glimpse how skilled our grandparents were. And how pathetic we are ; )

I dig, Geo does the painting and general building. He said he was really into self-sustainability and he is, but the digging and growing is still on me ; ) But I am fine with it, it is a good work out which I need.

And the trips, I am ACHING! The weather is so depressive over here that I can not see myself camping in the mist, cold and waterdrops. As soon as there are 4 days of dry weather and a bit of sun than I am off. Perhaps already one day of sun will do…

Wishing you a blessed new year Miro. I am glad to interact with you. Greetings Cindy
