Easy recipes for touring

In my opinion food is an essential part of life, whether I am on a bicycle or not. Being a cyclist doesn’t mean that food has to be gobbled down, nor that it must be a fleeting, simple meal just to fill the tummy. I will not rapidly exchange extra kilometers for a quick meal. On the contrary: I will stop earlier to cook more elaborate.

Inspired by a cold bean salad I came up with this recipe. It functions as a simple meal without much cooking when one has an appetite.

It’s not little to carry but it fills up better than most white bread in Spain, besides that there aren’t much bakeries around.

Life Changing bread

No wheat grains, only nuts, seeds and oats. You need a kitchen for this recipe. It will go well to take along as touring pick-nick food.
