Update 2026: the photo above shows a Lyme test has just been done. I am not using any repellent (nor sunscreen) as it is not 100% effective. I had an engorged thick for more than 2 days on my head, and had the test done 6 weeks later. A Lyme test is usually most reliable after about 4–6 weeks because your immune system needs time to produce the antibodies that the test is designed to detect.
I am not carrying anything that I don’t use daily. These bottles of homemade repellent were not effective enough to carry around. I do carry pieces of fabric and threads for my daily creative expressions.
