Your reason for a pouch
Over the many years that I embroider, the writings and photographs have morphed into something new. Unintentionally, yet beautifully, this is attracting a certain kind of person that sees how I look at the greater whole and the rewarding outcome are their comments and sometimes even longer communications. Indeed, the embroidered pouches have become much more than just that.

Pouch Malaga, gracias. I am actually here in Malaga reading your blog and thinking how much better you make me feel about the world and my own self. I identify with you very strongly so your writings make me feel part of something bigger.

Social media is a strange beast! For years we follow each other, sometimes ‘like’, sometimes pass by, and often just stop following as time passes. But occasionally a connection is made and our lives are enriched, and indeed changed. For years now your posts, and at times quirky photos @cyclingcindy have appeared on my social media feeds and inbox, and without exception I’ve felt blessed, enriched and sometimes challenged by them. There is no better gift one person can give another than this, and becoming the next custodian of this beautiful creation has filled me with such joy, contentment and a washing of peace as the scent of India comes from it. I’ve felt as if I’ve been riding a huge rollercoaster over the last couple of years, ignoring the obvious negative aspects, as time and again I rode the waves in complete joy. You, in your atelier, have been a huge part of that, and of strengthening my love and connection with my wife.

Something comes to me and I want to share it with you. Your pouches feel so alive—rich with stories, with places, with quiet moments held in their fibers. These two are no different; they’re little treasures you’ve brought into the world. Beautifully finished, and a joy to look at from every angle.
All your pouches have this purity about them, each one true to its own shape and essence. The fabric and yarn you choose, the plants that lend their colors, your travels through all those beautiful countries, your own story, and the calm simplicity with which you work… it all becomes part of them. I imagine the making is almost meditative—you feel it, you see it, you even smell it.
So yes, gifts like these are truly special to give.

Would you like to add a bit of extra beauty to where ever your ride takes you? Or just when you are at home? My pouches, purses and occasionally a pillow are made to add beauty to every day moments. That is why I started to create them: to wrap the little I own in a fine piece of fabric. That what I see must be beautiful to the eyes but practical as well. They are often made at camp spots, and the pouches are always an unique enhancement to the senses.
