Two posts about being different and how that is not at all an issue. Until you realize you’re misunderstood by the different standard of living compared to others. Two write-ups to make you aware of the possible outcome of traveling long time solo. And also a little bit about to go your own way, to depend on your own gut feeling.

August 2023. The inheritance of solitude part 1. A write-up about the awareness of the possible outcome of traveling long time solo. And also a little bit about to go your own way, to depend on your own gut feeling

August 2023. The inheritance of solitude part 2. ‘The cat woman with a sharp nose’. Fueled when I felt misunderstood by the different standard of how I prefer living.
Five weeks off the grid, buried in the Florida woods.

August 2020, USA. A most odd experience in the woods of Florida. I never knew how spectacular a seemingly boring patch of woods could be. In times of Corona we were homeless, hiding and alert. View post…
The uninvited twists of the mind: broken boredom

September. 2018, Uruguay. Aloneness, solitude, quietude is one thing. But too much of it is not doing good either. To my rescue comes a beautiful hearted woman who takes me in her home for some time. Just what I needed. View post…

That’s one thing I hate about Zagreb and most Croatian cities – the graffiti is horrendous! But the countryside and islands make up for it! X
Hi Anna, I thought you were from USA, but maybe not?
I found Zagreb very, very uninspiring. The countryside around this city as well. I think you need to go quite far off South to see beauty, and yes, the islands are planned to go to as well. But after the tourist and garden season ; )
Lol you think I am from the USA? Please don’t insult me! 🤣🤣🤣 I am born and raised in Australia to Croatian immigrant parents, hence why I would go to Croatia often in the past to my visit my grandparents.
Oh yes, I remember something like that. Yes, yes… I remember!
I knew it was a country far away, like USA or Canada. But it’s Australia. Well, all these countries are filled with both fantastic and less fantastic individuals. I regarded you as a highly sporty, multicultural and kind woman, so, no offense 😅
Haha thanks for the kind words! No offence taken! ❤️
Now I certainly remember that you are you!
Holiday is free of having to check my email, taking an unknown road without having to be at some given point at some given time or giving myself permission to set a goal that might take me longer to reach.
Love the new van, nice color!
Cool, I admire that, probably because I keep being a little bit stressed, always.
I do not post on social media but I check routes on my phone and especially where I can get food.
Like you, no given point nor given time. And, no distance that has to be reached.
I think like you, the goal always takes longer.
Geo first wanted the van more stealthily but I like the color too.
That’s indeed a downside of such a bright colour unless you park in a field of sunflowers!
Hahahahaha! The farmer will beat us out, rightfully so 😂
